Screaming Females ALL 41 Songs

fuckyeahmarissap:

Vinylbob is king of Screaming Females concert footage on YouTube. Check out his channel here.

Screaming Females doing all 41 songs from their four albums, in order and with only one break, at a hastily rescheduled show in a small basement in New Brunswick. It started with a dozen people and by the middle the basement was full as word spread. See them play the songs they haven’t played in a long time, and in one instance, ever.”

I am in love.

Last weekend I went to see Against Me! As good as they were (really good), I was blown away by the Screaming Females. Marissa Paternoster is easily the best guitarist I have ever seen play live. I’m not sure the difference between what I expected after seeing a band walk on stage and what I got from their performance has ever been more dramatic. This video is a good re-creation of that. Their albums don’t quite replicate the live experience, but they are supremely listenable and interesting.

Hot potato

The potato literally encouraged the Irish to overbreed.

This is my new favorite thing on the internet.
